My practice is primarily concerned with the act of print making, working with woods and lino to slowly create an image. The focus of my practice revolves around my curiosity of the male nude, something which is not as predominantly explored in art, to give a ‘female-gaze’ perspective. The combination of print-making and the nude to me seems ironic; in the sense that I am creating something over time through carving that tends to be seen so casually and quickly, sometimes even quite grotesquely and unsolicited.
